Do you have something to protect? Is it a family, friends , and a girlfriend? Or fame and a position? Everyone ought to have something to protect.

How should we protect important things? Have you thought of a reason why important things can exist? It is vary basic that you are living and your important thing can exist. It's not too much to say that is the reason life exists on the Earth.
It may possibly be a jump of logic...

Why is it necessary to treat the Earth carefully? That is the link to the thing you hold dear.

If the Earth is not healthy, your dear thing is not healthy too. It is very formal if we use words like environmental conservation or environmental problem. But please don't think it's too difficult.

You can do something for your dear. For example, how to use water. If you don't waste water and you are very kind to living things. Clean water is so good for the Earth. Human beings are supported by other life. We need clean foods. That means that we need clean water, air, soil, and so on.

We don't have to completely change our lifestyle. It is easy. When you go shopping, you can refuse to get a plastic bag. Or, if nobody is using a light, you can turn off light, and so on.

Please think a bit about the Earth for your dear thing.
